Target customers of NutriFeed are existing rural and urban 550 thousand poultry farms who aspire to be key players in sustainable and local food system in the eight state of Bangladesh. Total supply of poultry feed in Bangladesh is about 32.1 million tons (MT) whereas the demand is about 83.84 MT. The market gap is 51 MT. Such strong market gap raises the price of feed by 8% annually. Besides, the poultry feed market is growing 20% annually. NutriFeed focuses on minimizing the gap with low-priced feed i.e. USD 8 for 25kg (one sack) whereas competitors price ranges from USD 17 from USD 21.

Primary Target Market:

NutriFeed is currently serving 200 poultry farmers at Savar Upazila area under the capital city Dhaka with a production capacity 1.8 tons/day. This area is attractive for its location, resources, and demographic structure etc. Targeting this area allows us to scale our operation to other nearby areas of Dhaka city with almost same distribution network by mid-2016. By the end of 2016, NutriFeed will penetrate 25% of the total market of Dhaka division. With the largest network of smallholder farmers in both rural and urban areas, BRAC is currently promoting NutriFeed to over 50 villages of 5 districts in Dhaka division & NutriFeed is the only provider of its kind promoted by this largest NGO of Bangladesh.
